Concert & Theater Live Sound Instructor
Steve Marshall began doing sound in clubs in 1977 at the age of 16. By 1983, he created a partnership with his brother and they began their own audio company Glass Castle Audio Systems. They have installed live audio systems and supplied techs over the years at venues in the Metro Detroit area such as The Ritz, The Majestic Theater, Seventh House, Saint Andrew’s Hall, The Shelter, and The Garden Theater. In the 90’s they sent a PA systems out on tour with the band Sponge. Some other current festivals and events they supplied live audio systems for include The Detroit Grand Prix, Stars and Stripes Festival, Uncle Sam Jam, St. Clair Riverfest, Quake on the Lake, Woodward Dream Cruise, Harley Fest, Rockin’ on the Riverfront concert series, Chill on the Hill, Detroit River Days, Arts Beats and Eats, Dally in the Alley, Gus Macker Basketball Tournament and Saint Clair Shores Concert Series in the Park. Steve has also on occasions supplied live audio equipment at Cobo Arena, The Palace, The Detroit Opera House, The Detroit Music Hall, The Phoenix Center, and The Gem Theater. Additionally, he was the FOH engineer at the State Theater throughout the 90’s and from 2001 to 2012 he was the production manager for the Emerald Theater. To this day, Steve and his audio company is continually growing.
